Assistive Design for Dementia Patients

• Conducted user research with dementia patients to understand their cognitive challenges.
• Designed and prototyped a specialized assistive device to help non-verbal Dementia patients bond and make music together.

Things (we) did:

• **Reimagined the meaning of time by blending history, mindfulness, and design into a calming, hands-on experience.

• Built both an interactive object and a live performance, bringing the audience into a slow, reflective journey through evolving spiral patterns. Direction, with lights, live music and props!

• Mixed art, engineering, and storytelling through lots of prototyping, testing, and iteration to create a thoughtful, human-centered installation.
